Individual, couples, and family therapy will help you get out of crisis, identify how you are stuck emotionally, and reignite your development. Group therapy is where you, with others from diverse backgrounds and a variety of emotional issues, come together to take your emotional development to the next level. Some people choose to do individual, couples, or family therapy, while others decide to join group, as well.

Shelley Karliner, LICSW, the director of the former Washington Center for Social Therapy, is a psychotherapist who has helped thousands of people from all walks of life develop new emotional capacities and create healthy intimate relationships. She was trained at the East Side Institute for Group and Short Term Psychotherapy by Fred Newman, the founder of the social therapeutic approach to emotional development. more
Tricia Bassing, LICSW, is a psychotherapist, community organizer, and therapist supervisor. She creates accepting and challenging environments while inspiring people to create something new and powerful in their lives and in the process feel a whole lot better. She was trained at Columbia University School of Social Work and the East Side Institute for Group and Short Term Psychotherapy. more
